A Well Spent Weekend in Paris

How's it going, my friends? It's been a week since I last updated the site and some fun things have happened since! First and foremost, I had my first week of work and it was already a successful week within the walls of Media Planet. I am working directly alongside the production manager helping bring my creative ideas and skills to their office and company. I start school classes tomorrow morning and I'm very excited to have some other responsibilities while being out here.

PARIS: Friday June 9th, Prague to Paris 8:50 pm

So yeah, Friday morning Joe and I decided to buy a roundtrip ticket to Paris for the weekend as last-minute tickets here in Europe can be cheaper than pre-planned tickets! We booked St Christophers Canal Inn Hostel, which I will highly recommend if you ever find yourself in Paris looking for clean rooms, cheap drinks, and a diverse group of guests. Plus an added bonus of a free breakfast if you can wake up before 10 am.

Friday night was well spent having some fun at a club known as Concrete, which is on a docked old boat close to a concrete bridge that plays dance music.

Saturday, we spent the entire day touring Paris in perfect sunny weather with my buddy Parker, who is studying in Paris for the summer. We covered over 10 miles and it really didn't seem like that much as it was one of the best site seeing places I have been. We started our day with The Louvre Palace and Pyramid.

From the Louvre we spent a few hours in The Tuileries and Carrousel Gardens.

This fence was astonishing and had such a crisp color and look to it.

We went to meet with some other friends over in the St. Germain neighborhood. This shot is from the fifth floor of a historical appartment.

It pretty interesting how well everyone drives in Paris even though there aren't any lanes.

The Eiffel Tower, through my lens

I spent four hours sorting photos and editing tonight to make sure I got this up as I have a super busy week and know it would be hard to get all this detail down. I wanted to make sure I had the Eiffel Tower shots I wanted and I ended up taking over 100 photos which took a lot longer than expected to sort through.

No picture will do the justice of how big the tower is vs. in person.

I ended up getting this couples email and sending them this shot as I couldn't stand that they were using a selfie stick.

For this next picture, the angle really caught my eye and I had an idea in mind. I ended up standing on a bench to get this shot with the sun and leaves and couldn't be happier with how it came out.

Thanks everyone for getting this far if you kept reading. Paris was a blast and it has been exciting to share it with you.

I am either going to take a train somewhere in Czech or stay in town next weekend and do some exploring. Special thanks to the 280 different people that have visited my site over the last week, that's super rad to see! Also, I have set up a subscribe option so you can get notified of new posts by email.

Till the next, peace!
